AUTHOR / PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR

Wayne Griffiths

Wayne Griffiths is the Founder and Managing Director of Advanced Electromagnetic Systems LLC and an independent researcher in electromagnetic field topology and governed-field architecture. He originated the Griffiths Canon and the Griffiths Equation, which provide the common design language used across AEMS work: geometry, field stress, boundary conditions, and active governance are treated as coupled engineering variables.

Wayne Griffiths invented and developed Electromagnetic Governance Tensor Theory, the foundational architecture behind AEMS’s governed-field systems. This framework defines how electromagnetic and decay-driven domains can be shaped, stabilised, and constrained to produce predictable, extractable behaviour across propulsion, reactor, hydrogen, and industrial EM platforms. His research establishes a unified field-governance methodology applied directly to hardware.

His propulsion work includes the Rotating Electromagnetic Nozzle lineage, GREMN plume governance, H₂EM field propulsion, the REMN MHD Skirt launch-assist architecture, GNMT microwave-thermal propulsion, nuclear-electric propulsion, and the satellite-first electromagnetic mobility programme. That mobility work begins with persistent-orbit satellite and debris-collector expressions, extends to the Luna Hopper as a micro-mobility demonstrator, and defines longer-duration interstellar probe branches as separately gated vehicle expressions.

He is published in the Journal of Complex and Multiphysics Engineering Systems and the Journal of Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautics and Space Technologies (ISSN 3071-0634), and has authored ten peer-reviewed papers in Acceleron Aerospace Journal, the Journal of Complex and Multiphysics Engineering Systems, and the Journal of Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautics, and Space Technologies. He also serves as a peer reviewer for Acta Astronautica, Classical and Quantum Gravity, the New Journal of Physics, and the Journal of Applied and Computational Mechanics.

Across the wider portfolio, Wayne develops managed-plasma and fusion architectures, artificial-gravity and ecological habitat systems, field-governed power and industrial platforms, hydrogen and combustion systems, and EM food-machinery architectures. The work is documented through portal model pages, open technical records, journal publications, and defined simulation and experimental programmes. The emphasis throughout is direct: formulate the mechanism, specify the architecture, define the measurable signatures, and graduate each system through its relevant test path.
